CET Booster Club Board Meeting
Minutes, August 27, 2024
Present: Trudy Gates, Cara Genesio, Claire Lewis, Sascha Matish, Margie Morris, Alisse Portnoy, Ionie Steudle, Emily Wilson-Tobin.
The meeting was called to order at 7:05 pm.
Welcome Student Board Members.
Co-Presidents of the Student Board, Claire Lewis and Ionie Steudle, were welcomed.
The Student Board will have a standing agenda item for CET Booster Club board meetings. They are invited but not obligated to present issue(s) at each of the Booster Club board meetings.
CET is planning a poster-making session for Midsummer auditions on Monday, September 2, at 4:00 pm.
Students talked with the Booster board about CET merchandise, including content (some “limited-time” merch and regular “classic” CET merch) and processes including vendors, online pop-ups, and timing of merch sales (possibly October and spring).
Students and Booster board members also discussed transitions to a reduced print program for shows with online supplements and additions to the print program. Students offered to solicit input from the student board about show keepsakes instead of print programs, or in addition to a reduced print program.

Review New a2cet.org Website
Members of the board expressed enthusiasm and gratitude for Margie Morris’s terrific work on the new website.
Some changes were discussed, including pull down forms and names for sections of the website.
The board talked about ways to use the new Google Workspace that the new website makes available.
Booster Club Board Responsibilities
Board members discussed duties and responsibilities for 2024-25.
We could specifically use some assistance on food help (especially during Tech Weeks), costume support, and perhaps a props mentor.
Casting Policy: Emily Wilson-Tobin presented to an enthusiastic Booster board a casting policy that would go into effect before Midsummer Night’s Dream. Some discussion and feedback ensued.
Review of Bylaw Edits: President Sascha Matish solicited feedback on the bylaw edits, and the edits were approved by the board.
Budget: Treasurer Cara Genesio presented a draft of the 2024-25 CET budget. The board discussed the budget and accepted it.
Additional Business
The Booster Board talked about student-organized events, such as meet-ups at Pinball Pete’s and NYPD. The sentiment was that it would be useful if a member of the CET Booster Club board was present (in the background) at these events when they are announced through the CET listserv.
The meeting was adjourned (time not recorded), with thanks to Sascha Matish and Bev Davidson for hosting.
Respectfully submitted,
Alisse Portnoy, Secretary
